A MAN has died following a car accident at Ahabeg in Ballysimon, last night.
The crash occurred on the N24 shortly after 8.15pm.
The 53-year-old man was the driver of a car which collided with a 4×4, He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

A female passenger who was traveling in the car was also taken to hospital however; her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Two men, who are in their 40s, are being questioned at Roxboro Road Garda Station in relation to the incident.
