Gala party planned for Trinity

AS part of the Irish Cancer Society’s awareness for men’s health ‘Movember’, a series of Gala Partés are held to thank Mo Bros and Sistas for their support and fund raising efforts. Trinity Rooms will host a Gala Party on Friday November 27 with an amazing musical line up. This newspaper can also confirm the club is offering free cocktails for Mo Bro’s.

The Unabombers started their seminal clubnight Electric Chair in 1995 and before its closure in 2008 the club saw DJ sets from a veritable “who’s who” of the underground dance scene with heads like Greg Wilson, Moodymann, Metro Area, Danny Krivit, Gilles Peterson, Laurent Garnier and Francois Kevorkian getting deep and dirty.

They regularly play all over the UK, Europe and beyond with regular slots The Big Chill, T-In-The-Park, V, Creamfields and at the Bacardi B-Bar here at Oxegen and Electric Picnic. Their Electric Soul Sessions mix series and their live shows as the Elektrons cemented their position as amongst the very best of the UK’s club DJ’s.

Central to the Unabombers sound is their open-minded music policy; their sets are characterised by a flow through genres with everything from house, disco, hip-hop, broken beat, Latin, soul, R&B and techno thrown into the pot, and making the links between quality music with a rich vein of funk and soul. The Unabombers will be joined by Razor and John Kelly for a party in the clubhouse while in the main club Trinity’s Bono, himself the owner of such a fine mo that he was featured in the national press last week will hold sway with a bag of bang up to the minute club classics.
