TODAY FM reported this Thursday that Limerick solicitors Dermot G O’Donovan and Partners had opted out of the legal panel appointed by NAMA.

Last week’s Limerick Post reported that the Limerick firm of solicitors was one of three local firms appointed to the panel, the others being Sweeney McGann and Holmes O’Malley Sexton.

Two of their senior partners had been associated with the Fordmount Property Group, to which a receiver was recently appointed.

Earlier this week NAMA informed the Limerick Post that they were not in a position to confirm or deny that Dermot G O’Donovan and Partners, one of Limerick’s longest established and respected law firms, had withdrawn their name from the panel.

The Limerick Post had been reliably informed on Monday that Dermot G O’Donovan and Partners had withdrawn.
