Small number of Peugeot 107 customers affected by Toyota

Have you a 2006 Peugeot 107 model, specifically the 2-tronic?

TOYOTA and PSA Peugeot Citroen, under a partnership agreement, share a factory in the Czech Republic, where the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1 are manufactured. Toyota has launched a preventative recall campaign in Europe on eight models, Aygo included, to resolve a potential accelerator pedal problem. Peugeot in Ireland have confirmed that as few as 42 of the 711 units of Peugeot 107 model registered in Ireland since its launch in 2006 may be affected by the current Toyota recall.

The risk of malfunction of the accelerator pedal is very rare and the recall is a preventive measure. Only petrol models fitted with ESP as standard or with a 2-tronic electronically controlled gearbox are affected. From launch only 42 Peugeot 107 2-tronic models have been registered in Ireland.

Customers who own Peugeot 107 2-tronic models are being contacted directed by their Peugeot dealer (Adams of Glin and Castlepark Motors, Dock Road), in the coming days to arrange for work to be completed at a convenient time. Repairs will be carried out free of charge.
