Gardai get extension to question on Treacy death

GARDAI investigating the murder of Daniel Treacy have been granted more time to question two men in relation to his killing.

The men are being questioned under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act. The 35-year-old father of two was shot dead at the Topaz petrol station on the Ennis Road on the outskirts of the city last Monday morning. A man in his fifties was arrested on Thursday in the north side of the city and is being held at Roxboro Garda Station. A 29-year-old man arrested on Monday night is also being detained for questioning.
