IF looking for late evening fun, culture and the option of a good supper, wander down Georgeโ€™s Quay of a Wednesday night. The Sinnan Sessions present a new line up each week that straddles the spoken word of poetry, original song performance by various musicians and the works of a visual arts show.

Doors open at 8pm, beginning with an opportunity to meet audience members, performers and view the exhibition. The music and song begins 9.30pm (door โ‚ฌ10).ย  P&P Productions are the brains behind this concept, specifically Lou McMahon and Kate Casey.

โ€œThe Sinnan Sessions will run every Wednesday for three months, mixing different genres such as folk and classical,โ€ explained Kate at Loft Venueโ€™s season launch. โ€œThe artists featured have written the songs and the visual artists are local or advancedโ€.

The sessions will use different parts of Loftโ€™s stage and adjoining room over the night, with art works placed to the left of the stage. P&P Productions are old hands at bringing together an event of different elements that entertain. Lou McMahon began it all with White Horse Sessions in Kennyโ€™s Bar in Lahinch in 2008 and 2009. White Horse platformed Jack L, Cathy Davey, David Kitt, Mick Flannery and Limerick acts such as Walter Mitty and the Realists.

2010 sees Kate Casey join the production company for The Sinnan Sessions which opened residency on Wednesday 7 with Luan Parlรฉ, Meteor winner.

Loft Venue at The Locke Bar & Restaurant next Wednesday 14 has singer/ songwriter Eldor Roche and Gavin Mee, with Dublin based poet Stephen James Smith and art work by Sheena Meagher, based in Lahinch.

And the good supper? Two courses and coffee from The Oyster House at The Locke for โ‚ฌ17.50, 5pm to 7pm every day. See website www.bottomdogtheatre.com for details on the summer schedule at Loft Venue.
