Earls out for ‘several weeks’

MEDICAL staff at Munster rugby have confirmed that Keith Earls has suffered an ankle sprain in the incident last Monday at training for the province. The Munster, Irish and Lion centre sat out training this week in Cork and is expected not to resume training for several weeks.

However, fears of something more serious were allayed after the results of a scan revealed that the Limerick native only sprained his ankle.

Meanwhile, preparations are going ahead for the Munster unit to take on Magners League newcommers in Aironi Rugby at Musgrave Park this weekend.
