THE Doras Luimni conference on Integration and Inclusion is to be held next Thursday September 9 in Thomond Park, under the theme of ‘Many Cultures-One Home’.
The purpose of the conference is to reflect on the last ten years of demographic change within the Mid West, whilst actively engaging with the issues of integration and inclusion of Limerick and the surrounding areas.
Included in the line-up of panelists who will be contributing to the conference are Minister for Integration, Equality and Human Rights, Mary White, Professor of Music Mícheál O’Súilleabháin and Actor and Producer Siraj Zaidi.
A number of themes will be explored including media, political voices, art, culture, sports and music.
Entertainment will also be provided on the day with performances, exhibitions and workshops including bhangra dancing, capoeira and a magician.
There are a limited number of places still available for this free event and organisers have extended the deadline for applicants to Friday 3rd September.
