Both had been studying as apprentice plumbers in Athlone IT.
Paul was in first year and Jeffrey was in the final year of his apprenticeship when the tragedy occurred.
Speaking to the Limerick Post, Paulโs father, John Considine, revealed that he had recently received his sonโs exam results.
โI got his results a few weeks ago for exams he completed in December 09, and he passed with merit.
โBoth of the boys excelled in their work and were loved by everyone who knew them.
โThey were great friends since school and remained that way throughout, right to the end. They lived life together, died together, and were laid to rest side by sideโ.
ย Paul and Jeffrey had a love for music.
โPaul loved playing the guitar and drums. Jeffrey also played guitar and was a great singer. The two would spend hours playing music togetherโ.
It was their passion for music that sparked the idea to celebrate their lives through an evening of music, featuring a host of artists, while raising money for Headway, an organisation offering support to brain injury sufferers.
The Music Mayhem will be held on September 21 in The Pery Hotel, Glentworth Street, and will feature performances from Gerry and The Heartachers, Idol Bones, Blaze, Country Vibes, John Solo and many more.
Finger food and a raffle will also be provided on the night.
Tickets cost โฌ10 and all proceeds will go directly to Headway.
