GARDAI investigating the murder of Lee Slattery have arrested eight people in the north and south areas of Limerick City as part of a search and arrest operation this Tuesday morning. The five males and three females range in ages from mid teens to early 40’s and are being detained at various stations in the Limerick and Clare Divisions.

The operation was carried out by Gardai from Limerick City and County supported by the Southern Regional Support Unit and the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Five of the people are being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act and three are being detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Mayorstone Garda Station on 061-456980, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111, or any Garda Station.
