Milford Hospice fundraiser

THE Southcourt Hotel will present a fundraiser in memory of musician ‘Fats’ Falahee,  with proceeds in aid of Milford Hospice, on October 14.
Music will be performed by the Mad Hatters and Tutti Fruiti.


Women’s Group meetings

THE Hospital Women’s Group meetings have resumed in the Family Resource Centre from 10am to 12noon on Thursday mornings.
“We look forward to seeing current members back after the summer break and new members are very welcome,” says a spokesperson.

ROTARY’S national conference is to be held in Limerick in 2011.
It will be a three-day event, attended by upwards of 500 delegates.
Tony Brazil, Limerick- Thomond Rotary Club, said they were delighted to host this prestigious conference, which will be a great boost to the city.

Meeting on mental health stigma

SEE CHANGE, in association with Limerick County Community Voluntary Forum, will host a public meeting about mental health stigma and what can be done to reduce it in the Courtenay Lodge Hotel, Newcastle West, on Monday,  October 4, 7.30pm
Mr John Moloney TD, Minister for Disability and Mental Health, will address the meeting, as will speakers on the area of mental health stigma and the issues surrounding it, including Paul Gilligan, CEO of St. Patrick’s University Hospital and people with experience of mental health problems.
