Murder accused faces family of victims

THE man accused of the murders of 25-year-old Sarah Hines, her 3-year-old son Reece and her 5-month-old daughter Amy as well as the murder of Alicia Brough, has been remanded in custody until February 1 next by judge Mary O’Halloran at Newcastle West District Court.

 

31-year-old John Geary of Meadowcourt, Newcastle West appeared in court on Tuesday and during the brief hearing was remanded in continuing custody.

Emotional scenes were witnessed as the family of the victims from the murders on November 15 last were also in court.

The case was adjourned until next month.
