Two bodies discovered at O’Malley Park

Gardai are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of 2 bodies at a house in Limerick yesterday.

At approximately 1130am the bodies of a male and a female, both aged in their 20s, were discovered in a house at O’Malley Park.

Members of the Garda Technical Bureau are attending the scene and the State Pathologist has been notified.

An incident room has been set up at Roxoboro  Garda Station.

Post mortem examinations are due on the bodies later today (Monday 10th).

The dead man was named Des Kelly, who was aged in his mid 20s, while the dead woman has been named as Breda Waters, also aged in her 20s from the St Mary’s park. Both suffered gunshot wounds.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of O’Malley Pk and noticed any suspicious activity between 1130pm on the 8th of January and 1130am on the 9th January to contact them.
