Limerick Firm shortlisted for Intertrade Ireland Awards

-

LIMERICK firm, Central Solutions Ltd, based at the National Technology Park in Limerick, has been shortlisted for this year’s Irish Times IntertradeIreland All-island Innovation Awards. The awards are now in their third year and were created to acknowledge the people who drive innovation in their organisations, either indigenous or international companies who are operating throughout Ireland to promote service, product or operational innovation.

Central Solutions, along with its R&D partner FM Environmental, beat off stiff competition to make the final three in the North-South Collaboration category. A judging panel with representatives from Accenture, UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School, IntertradeIreland, The Irish Times and Science Foundation Ireland made the decision based on a review of over 100 entries across seven categories.
The nomination was made in recognition of the firms’ development of a suite of innovative compliance solutions for the international water and wastewater industry. The system addresses the asset management, maintenance and real-time remote monitoring requirements of water and wastewater treatment plants and has are already being deployed in plants across Ireland.
Welcoming the news, Managing Director Paul Conheady said “this announcement comes at an exiting time in the company’s development as we prepare to launch our compliance suite internationally”. Paul went on to highlight the support and contribution that Central Solutions have received from Limerick County Council during the project’s development. “We are very grateful to the water services staff in Limerick County Council who have provided invaluable input throughout the development process and have helped us deliver a world class product from our Limerick base”.
The overall winner of the award will be announced in March.
