Set out to make light of harsh views of Limerick
ITโS all guns blazing with local actor Francis Ryan, in his search of support for his new show, โThe Outlaw Concy Ryanโ, which follows his characterโs life in the fictional estate of Moyhill.
Francis, who knows a thing or two about horses, is now hot in pursuit of Limerickโs best known comedy duo, Rubberbandits, with his own act.

His show has been chosen in the last eight from over 100 entrants in the RTE Storyland programme, which brought fame to Mayo comedy act, The Hardy Bucks, two years ago.
If his six-minute online episode is successful, three more episodes will be commissioned.
Francis explained his project:
โThe story is that Concyโs house is under threat of demolition, he gets cut off disability and his wife leaves him.
โItโs about him getting his life in order, doing odd jobs and trying to go legitโ.
The Limerick Post was given a glimpse of the hilarious first episode.
Concy hijacks the TV crew of โCrime Timeโ and makes them document his life with his wife and 10 children.
He spends most of the episode on horseback, showing the camera crew around his estate.
The first episode was shot over three days in Moyross with โฌ8,000 funding and the help of the local community.
โA lot of local people got involved and they were very helpfulโ.
Francis penned the script along with the owners of Galway based Hungry Fish Productions.
Francis, who originally hails from Ballynanty, and with Garryowen roots, said it was healthy to make light of harsh views of Limerick.
He will be erecting โVote for Concyโ posters around town in an effort to garner support for his video campaign.
He was a member of Impact Theatre for four years
The character originally emerged in Pa Face, a spoof of Scarface created by Munster rugby star Jerry Flannery, in 2004.
He was then taken on board by Dan Murphy and Matt Organ for the hugely successful Limerick Uncovered, which received over 230,000 hits on Youtube.
