Return to college and fulfil your dreams

ARE you interested in returning to education and realising your dreams? Mary Immaculate College, (MIC), Limerick may have a course to suit you. MIC has a diverse student body and strongly encourages applications from mature candidates who wish to study towards obtaining a third level qualification. (Mature students are those aged 23 years, or above, on January 1 in the year of entry).

MIC invites applications from interested candidates to its four full-time undergraduate programmes; Liberal Arts Programme, B. Ed. Degree (Primary Teaching), BA in Early Childhood Care and Education and B. Ed in Education & Psychology. According to Prof. Peadar Cremin, president of MIC, “We welcome the diversity which mature students bring to the College community in terms of background, educational attainment, employment history and motivation to study.”
He attributes the college’s success in recruiting mature students to its suite of adult education access programmes, its provision of alternative access routes to third level education, as well as to the support systems tailored to mature students at MIC.
These many supports include the Access Office, Counselling Service, Learner Support Unit, Medical Services and Student Parent Coordinator, to name but a few.  Attend the college’s Information Evening on Tuesday March 15 at 6pm in Room T1.08. Deadline for completed applications to full time undergraduate programmes is April 4 and you can download at www.mic.ul.ie. You can also contact Admissions Office, MIC at South Circular Road, Limerick. Tel: 061 204348 / 204929 Email: admissions@mic.ul.ie
