Well, Anthony Foley, speaking this week, maintains that momentum and form are needed before the knock out stages. โThis is the business end of the season. Hopefully we have learned alot from our games against them this season and we can take that into this Saturdayโs tie. We will not be looking ahead of Saturday, but we know that we need the spring to be in our step ahead of the Harlequinsโ
Selection for this weekendโs game will be more than interesting. Mc Gahan and Co. rested their internationals at the weekend against the Scarlets, so with competition for places hotting up, Munsterโs players will not only be looking to win on Saturday, but also to nail down a place for the knock out stages. Something that is exciting Foley.
โThere are players fighting for positions and when we go into selections, the lads are nervous about their place. The intensity at training in the games and training is up and we are upping the ante for the end of the seasonโ
Ahead of the game on Saturday, the Munstermen have won their last four away games in all competitions. Munster won 22-10 when the two teams met in Limerick in round three, whilst each side won its respective home game when they clashed in this seasonโs European Cup.
