Limerick FC face Athlone on Friday night

FRESH from their bye week in the league and their 1-0 win over Waterford United in the EA Sports Cup, Limerick FC will entertain Athlone Town this Friday night at Jackman Park.
Limerick currently lie in sixth spot with 11 points from seven games, while this weekends visitors Athlone, sit in fifth with one more point to their name.

Limerick will be without the services of Gary Sheahan (broken leg) 14 weeks, Chris Breen (Hamstring) three weeks and James O’Brien (hernia) two weeks for this weekend’s game. However Limerick will still be slight favourites to win after Monday’s performance against Waterford.
A Garbhan Coughlan goal was the difference between the two sides on the day and the young lad showed that the work being done at underage level in Limerick is beginning to pay off. With a man of the match performance from John Frost, Limerick will be looking to keep that momentum going ahead of this Friday night’s encounter.
Kick off at Jackman Park on Friday night is at 7.45pm.
