AN ‘Improve your Job Prospects’ event featuring facilitated workshops, motivational speakers and information and support for those affected by unemployment will be held in Thomond Park on Thursday, May 12.
Organised by the TusNua group, the event, running from 9.30am to 4pm, is targeted at people who have found themselves unemployed and who are ready to take steps to improve their employability skills.
A series of nine workshops will take place on the day covering a wide variety of topics such as CV skills and cover letters.
The TúsNua platform came together in December 2008 to create a co-ordinated approach to an evolving scenario of large scale redundancies, comprising of third level institutions, Fás, Enterprise Ireland, City/County Enterprise Boards, IDA and the VECs.
