Goals on the night from Jeffrey Judge (9), Brian McCarthy (47), Shane Tracy (82) moved the Superblues into fifth, now just five points off of te top spot, currently held by Shelboure.
Fifth placed Limerick now also have a game in hand over sixth placed Athlone, so this weekendโs tie against fourth placed Monaghan will be a real six pointer.
Ahead of this weekendโs game, Limerick are still without some key players. Gary Sheahan (broken leg) 14 weeks, Chris Breen (Hamstring) three weeks and James OโBrien (hernia) six weeks are all still occupying the physioโs table.
With three home games to come in May, Limerick will be targeting the opening summer month to make a move on the top. If last weekendโs well deserved win is anything to go by, the start of June could well tell a tale of where this Limerick side are headed.
Kick off in Gortakeegan this Friday night is at 19.45.
Finally, Limerick Ladies defeated the Tipperary League in the last 16 of the FAI Cup by 5-0 in Nenagh on Sunday.
With the ladies and menโs teams on form, why not head to Jackman Park on May 13 for Limerickโs next home game.
