Child pornography charge adjourned

LIMERICK Circuit Court agreed to the argument made by legal advisors to a 43-year-old man charged with the possession of child pornography to have the case adjourned to allow them get the assistance of a technical expert.

Simeon Betts, a UK national but with an address at Henry Street, is charged with the possession of pornographic material at an address in Raheen, on March 4 last year.
Unemployed, he was originally questioned by gardai in July of last year and released on bail with strict conditions attached.
Defence counsel sought the adjournment to get technical assistance relating to the storage of information on a computer.
With no objection from the State, the matter was put back to July 27.
