Limerick’s Thomond Park Stadium will be hosting the hugely exciting Ireland versus Australia tie. A glamour tie indeed.
The tournament will involve 14 nations, Australia, Cook Islands, England, Fiji, France, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Papa New Guinea, Samoa, Scotland, Tonga, USA and Wales.
The competition’s structure will consist of two groups of four, with Ireland drawn alongside arch rivals England, Fiji and Australia in Group A.
The full list of dates and kick-offs will only be announced when the broadcast schedule is finalised.
This of course means that we still don’t have a date for the Thomond Park game, but we can still get excited.
