Mid West property under the gavel in national auction

A CHARTERED surveyor and auctioneering company has attracted 11 lots for its first Irish auction in Dublin on Thursday November 15, with reserves from as low as €16,000. The regions are well represented, Limerick city and Ennis included. Eddisons, the host company, has a long record of property auctions held throughout the UK. November 15’s sale will take place the The Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin.

 

 

The Eddisons catalogue at www.eddisons.com was not uploaded on time of this article being written but Eddisons boss  Robert McGreal says it offers varied stock, including commercial and residential investment opportunities, with instructions from receivers and private individuals.

Highlights include a vacant four bedroom mid terrace property, 2km from Ennis town centre, which has a reserve of €16,000. The house is just off the Lahinch Road, within the Dun na hInse development. Eddisons describe it as being in need of repair.

A further four bed property in the same location, which occupies an end of terrace position, has a reserve not to exceed €18,000.

Elsewhere, a tenanted unit at the City North Business Park at Stamullen, Co Meath which generates annual income of €24,000 has a reserve not to exceed €95,000, which sees a potential return of over 25 per cent.

Dublin stock includes a mixed retail and residential investment in walking distance of the city centre, generating €74,500 per annum. The reserve is not to exceed €375,000.

Robert McGreal, head of Eddisons in Ireland notes that the firm has  “attracted a variety of keenly priced lots which means there should be something for everyone. Whilst 60 per cent of the stock is from Dublin city, Limerick city, Munster and Leinster are also represented.”

Eddisons is one of the most established auctioneering firms in England, conducting 16 auctions every year in Leeds and Manchester, offering stock from the Midlands through to the Scottish Borders.

At the start of 2012 it opened in Dublin, the office supported by a national network in the UK.

The sale on Thursday 15 takes place in the Adams Suite of the Shelbourne Hotel at 2.30pm.
