Come into the Parlour

THIS month saw the opening of The Parlour, a new and welcome addition to Limerickโ€™s late night social scene.
Situated at the heart of the city on Thomas Street, this quirky bar with its 1800s style interior and buzzing atmosphere is โ€œfast becoming popular among the cityโ€™s young and hipโ€, according to the folks at the city centre venue. The place is truly full of surprises with funky coloured wallpaper, an abundance of antiques and lounge-type mismatched seating which even includes two adapted four poster beds.

The Parlourโ€™s music style is as versatile as the dรฉcor with an eclectic mix of alternative funk, house and eightiesโ€™ electronica, keeping the floors filled until the small hours.
The extensive drinks menu offers a long list of incredible tasting โ€˜proper cocktailsโ€™, a vast range of craft beers and 10 wines by the glass.
A small yet perfect pub menu includes a selection of gourmet toasted sandwiches and cheeseboard along with a few sweeter treats such as macaroons. Table service is available when things arenโ€™t so hectic, an added benefit of choosing to lounge in this barโ€™s atmosphere.
Limerick Post has been informed that everything about The Parlour screams fun, with its decadent yet funky feel making oneโ€™s night seem almost timeless.
Located next door to Paddy Frawleyโ€™s pub, itโ€™s sure to be the cityโ€™s happening spot this Christmas.
