LAST FRIDAY night Specsavers in Limerick celebrated two very special occasions at a glamorous party at the Strand Hotel.
Over sixty staff from the Cruises Street and Crescent Shopping Centre stores gathered in the beautifully decorated City View suite where they celebrated the 21st birthday of the Cruises street branch at their annual Christmas party.
Store directors Sinead Clohessy, Anne Power and John Harrington were there to welcome arriving staff at a special drinks reception before making their way to the roof top suite where they enjoyed a delicious three course meal and private bar.
There was plenty of other treats and surprises along the way and the Night Owls were also on hand to provide the musical entertainment. There was a really brilliant atmosphere as the staff from both stores celebrated the Cruises Street store’s special milestone and two staff members Breda Piggott and Martin Jackson who have both been at the store since it opened were also there as special guests to take part in the celebrations.
“We’re passionate about providing professional eye care here in Limerick and we’re really proud of the teams at both stores who have worked so hard over the years” Sinead Clohessy said at the event. This sense of team work was very evident at the party night as the staff had great fun taking part in a special “Best Christmas Jumper” competition with a prize for the best effort. There was even an appearance from former team members like Sandra Hayes who has since set up her own branch in Australia and got in touch on the night via video link to wish everyone a Happy Christmas!
Sinead, Anne and John and all the staff at Specsavers also asked me to wish all of their customers a Happy Christmas and thank everyone for their great support throughout the years!
