Juno and the Paycock

ALL set for 69 O’Connell Street from Tuesday March 11 to 15, Quarry Players present the “humorous yet deeply moving classic, ‘Juno And The Paycock’. Set in a time of civil strife, a mother struggles to hold her family together against  extreme poverty and a feckless, idler husband who drinks his days away”.

In Sean O’Casey’s play, hope comes from an unexpected inheritance. For a time the promise of a better life seems possible.

“Brittle, heroic and heartbreaking, Juno Boyle  is not only a woman of her time but a character that resonates still for us all”.

The principals are Paul McCarthy as Captain Boyle, Michelle Flanagan as Juno, Kevin Kiely as the bent solicitor Mr Bentham and Zeb Moore is Joxer.
