“Alison Skilbeck is a consummate actress,” observes Richard Ryan who is touring this UK show nationwide. “Her Mrs Roosevelt captures the spirit and courageous nature of her visit to a Britain under siege from the Blitz in 1942, when she travelled there without her husband”. FDR’s presidential duties detained him back in the States.

“Eleanor Roosevelt was said to be the power behind the throne, and you can expect to leave the theatre feeling uplifted and inspired”.

Skilbeck premiered her work successfully at the RADA Festival in the UK last year, the play looking back from 1962 during the Cuban Missile Crisis when Eleanor was on her death bed.
