Chart hit for Limerick musician’s debut

LIMERICK musician/songwriter dREA has scored a hit in the Irish charts with his debut album, ‘Bravest of All’. This week record entered the official indie irish chart at number 7 and the official irish chart at 27. Damien Drea (aka dREA) told Limerick Post this week that he was delighted with the early success for the album and thanked everyone for their support.

dREA Bravest of All‘Bravest of All’ has received a very warm welcome from the critics, this week’s Sunday Times Culture Section reviewed dREA’s album as, “a mash-up of all that is right with zen indie rock,” Hot Press Magazine described it as a, “beautiful lovingly-crafted debut.”

Damien’s album was produced by Canadian producer Giuliano Baglioni, who has worked on various projects with the legendary Daniel Lanois. A long time in the making Damien told Limerick Post that the time was right to release ‘Bravest of All’.

“I am extremely excited for people to finally get to hear what has taken a number of years looking back at it. I’ve  probably been very precious about everything, but i can say I am very happy with the record.”

Currently playing in dREA band are Paul O’Shaughnessy (Drums); Dane Staunton (Bass); Rory Lewis (Guitars, Keys and Vocals); Eoin Hally (Guitar and Keys); Damien Drea (Guitar and Piano).
