A 21-year-old man was fatally injured in a collision overnight just outside Adare County Limerick.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses following the collision.
At approximately 4am a 21-year-old male was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the road and struck a tree on the N21 south of Adare village.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The road is currently closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
A Garda forensic collision investigators have been requested to the scene.
