THE Irish Chamber Orchestra and Music Generation Limerick City are joining forces to celebrate Limerick City of Culture with Music Factory, a creative music camp for children (8-12 years) running from Monday 14 to Friday 18 July (10am-3pm) on campus at UL at the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance.

Myths & Legends is this year’s theme as children explore tales from Limerick’s rich heritage of stories from the Banshee to Brian Boru through music and dance.Children will work in small groups with their leaders to produce their very own performance and will also have the chance to record their songs on the Music Generation Big Bus. Musical experience is not necessary.

Music Factory culminates in a Family performance on Friday July 18th.Participants must bring their own packed lunches daily.Book early as places are limited. Contact Kathleen Turner on 061 234632 or [email protected].
