Business blooming for Grandmother

BUSINESSES in Limerick got behind the visit of the Royal de Luxe Grandmother big time this week, with granny themed window displays as well special offers and fun.

Charity shop, Oxfam proud displayed a gigantic pair of bloomers which they claim were donated by the Grandmother to show good example on the issue of donating to charity shops.

“Everyone who see them smiles – they’re a bit of fun. And we also have a huge ball of wool and knitting needles in case she gets bored,” said a spokeswoman for the charity shop. .

And on Friday morning, the Oxfam volunteers got into the elder spirit, dressing up in Grandmother clothes and pearls to dance in the street as the Giant approached.
