ONE man has been hospitalised for treatment for his injuries following a three car collision in Limerick city centre earlier this Monday morning.
The three car collision involving a Toyota Hiace van and two other cars occurred at the junction of O’Connell Street and Cecil Street at 11am.
The van overturned and members of Limerick City Fire and Rescue service had to cut the man free from the vehicle.

Emergency medical staff treated the other drivers and passengers from the cars at the scene.
The road was closed for a period but had since reopened following technical examination.
The extent of the injuries suffered by the van driver are not yet known.
