Investigations continue into fatal road crash

INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into the circumstances that led to a fatal car crash on the Limerick Tipperary border last Thursday morning where the drivers of the two cars involved lost their lives.

Shortly after 7:15am last Thursday morning, the two vehicles, driven by 43-year-old Mary O’Donnell originally from Limerick Junction, and John Ryan, a man in his 80s from Monard, were involved in a head on collision on the N24, the main Limerick to Waterford at Ballykisteen.

The remains of the deceased drivers were removed to South Tipperary Hospital in Clonmel and a technical examination was carried out at the scene.

Gardaí in Tipperary Town are investigating and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 062 80670.
