LIMERICKโS senior hurlers are back in action this weekend as they take on UCC in the Waterford Crystal Cup.
TJ Ryanโs men will face the students inย Kilmallock on Saturday at 2pm, having defeated Waterford 2-15 to 1-15 at the same venue last week.
Having trailled 0-3 to 1-7 during the first half, Ryan will be happy with his charges for the nature of their comeback and over all display.
The Limerick side on the day included debutants Cian Lynch and Patrick Begley, with Ahane starlet Tom Morrissey making his inter county debut as a half time substitute.
A goal from Adrian Breen before the short whistle, coupled with an own goal from Waterfordโs Shane Fives allowed the Treaty men back into the game.
More scores came from Lynch, Morrissey and King to advance Limerick to the semi final date with UCC.
The students from Cork, deep in preparation for the Fitzgibbon Cup have reached the semi final with a 2-23 to 2-14 win over Kerry at Austin Stack Park Tralee, last Saturday.
Six points from play from the stick of Cork senior star Alan Cadogan gave UCC a hard earned victory.
The winner of this weekendโs game will face either Cork or Clare in the Cup final, with a date of February 1 already set for same.
