ELECTRIC Freeplay is a new band formed by guitarist Joe O’Callaghan that includes Derek Whyte on bass and Ben Wanders on drums. The music is written by Joe and is heavily improvised electric with large elements of jazz, rock and funk.

All three band members have many years experience playing in all kinds of musical situations. They perform together for the first time for Limerick Jazz Society on Wednesday February 18, 9.15pm at Dolan’s Upstairs so expect “a night of high energy, multi-textured music”, according to Limerick Jazz Society’s chairman, John Daly.
