โHI. Iโm Johnny Cashโ. With that, the night begins this Friday 13 on a striking note at The Unicorn Bar for true friends of the Man in Black. This is more than just a gig, itโs โWalk the Line, the Johnny Cash Experienceโ and thanks to popular demand, is pimped up from the annual October holiday experience.
According to host at The Unicorn Bar in Dooradoyle, Bryan Greene, โWalk the Lineโ is the full six-piece of career musicians and of course, thereโs a June Carter. Front man Joey Lee has toured and recorded in Memphis and Nashville and โhe gives us the full Johnnyย Cash works.
โHe comes out on stage, black hair, dressed in black and raises the guitar over his head. Then he breaks into the opening chords and itโs always an upbeat, driven songโ.
Back in his day, which ran for decades, Cash himself had more than 100 hit singles. Come the 1990s he was in for further critical acclaim with his American Recordings series accomplished with producer Rickย Rubin. Expect the gritty sound of live albums โFolsom Prisonโ and โSan Quentinโ as much as the sombre โHurtโ of twilight year.
โWalk the Lineโ at Unicorn Bar trails this epic career and bluesy, hardcore, resonant country music from Johnny Cashโs time with Sun Studios to his sunset with Rubin.
Show only โฌ12, meal and show, โฌ30 in Dooradoyle, tonight, February 13.
