ESTABLISHED 21 years ago as a remembrance ceremony to Micho Russell master traditional musician, this year’s Russell Memorial Weekend will take place in Doolin from Thursday February 26 to March 2. The showcase for rising talent takes place at Russell Cultural Centre at 7pm on Friday 27 while the weekend’s big deal is the Russell Concert on Saturday afternoon with Dessie O’Halloran on fiddle and vocals, Kieran Hanrahan on banjo, mandolin, and other greats.
