GORTA-Self Help Africa has appealed to people to donate unwanted items to its charity shops in Limerick and Newcastle West. The charity relies entirely on donations to keep their doors open. Maggie Dwyer, Gorta-Self Help Africa’s national retail manager said, “We all have clothes or books at home that we don’t need or want. We’re asking people to gather up a bag or two and bring them along to one of our shops. Unwanted items are incredibly important and valuable to us.” “Our shops accept most things such as CDs, DVDs, books, clothes, jewellery and household goods,” she added.
