As a result of routine profiling, officers from Revenue’s Customs Service, on Easter Sunday (05/04/15), seized 3.4 kgs of cocaine valued at approximately €240,000 at Shannon Airport .
Revenue’s detection dog, Ollie, assisted officers during a routine search of an aircraft which had arrived from the United States. The drugs were concealed behind a panel in the aircraft cabin.
An international investigation is ongoing in relation to the seizure.
