JOHNโ€™s Square, home to Dance Ireland and the โ€˜Are You Dancingโ€™? Limerick Fling, comes alive again in various art forms. โ€˜Moving Onโ€™ is a mix of dance films โ€“ some up for award, five in all and live dance performance.

Itโ€™s a community driven piece of work, the company Spoken Dance working with Enable Ireland to platform twice: Thursday April 23 at 8pm in the deconsecrated church of St John and again on Friday April 24 at 11am.

More from Mary Hartney of these events: โ€œTwo of the films represent the poetry of the Thursday Club of Enable Ireland, Mungret. One of the films was created by disabled dancer Danny Aherne as part of a research project whereby he was mentored by Mary Wycherley from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance.

โ€œThe two other films feature very different duets between a disabled and non-disabled dancerโ€.
