TWO films made in the Mid West will screen at Glastonbury 2015 for The Groovy Movie Glastonbury Short Film Festival, running June 24 to 29.

The film makers are Dermott Petty and Limerick based Keith Bogue, who had a hit last year with ‘All Washed Up’, with Jon Kenny and Liam O’Brien leading a professional cast.

The first of this year’s films, ‘Zombie Waltzing’, was shot at Lough Gur, featuring children from the area and County Limerick Youth Theatre.

‘For Goth and Country’ was filmed in Lisdoonvarna from a screenplay by the duo. This script had been shortlisted for the ComedyLab/ Beactive Award so they the shot the short as a sample of the screenplay. Posted online on the ComedyLab website, this got thousands of hits, spurring development to feature length and flushing out invitations to Groovy Movie and other events.
