The woman, understood to be aged in hereย 70s, died in a collision involvingย three cars on the Limerick to Tralee Road at Newcastle West in Co Limerick on Sunday evening last.
The three car collision occurred on the N21 shortly after 6.30pm and the elderly woman wasย pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the three carsย were taken to University Hospital Limerick with what are described as minor injuries.
