A Limerick man also faces court in September, following a protest in Limerick last Novemeber, when Enda Kenny visited the Greenhills Hotel.
Anti Austerity Alliance councillor Cian Prendiville claimed this latest move is part of a nationwide “attack” on the right to protest, and an attempt to criminalise the anti-austerity movement.
“Facing a crisis of non-payment, and after failing the Eurostat test, the government is clearly panicked, and attempting to lash out. If Joan Burton thinks dragging peaceful protesters before the courts will save their skin, they are sorely mistaken,” Cllr Prendiville warned.
