THE Zaide Quartet is next to play at the Autumn Classical Concerts series hosted by Limerick Arts Office at Castleconnell. With the atmospheric All Saints Church (across from Castle Oaks House Hotel) being venue for each one, set aside time next Tuesday 13 to hear this French ensemble.
In the past three years, the Zaïde Quartet has been invited to perform in venues such as Wigmore Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Beijing Performing Arts Center, and last year released a much-lauded debut album featuring works by Janácek and more.
This week we are privy to a String Quartet by Shostakovich, ditto by Mozart and Bartok. 8pm
