ALL IRELAND league coach of the year in 2015 John Staunton will take control of Young Munster RFC senior XV for the remainder of the season following the departure of Anthony Mathison. Mathison has returned to Australia just four games into the new season. The ‘Cookies’ who have begun their Division 1A campaign with two draws and two losses from their opening four games face bottom side Ballynahinch this Saturday in round five. Munster out half Ian Keatley, who has been an advisor to the backs this season, is expected to take a larger role in coaching alongside Connacht’s Conor Mc Phillips who also coaches the backs. It is not yet know if Staunton’s appointment is on a full time basis as of yet.
