IN partnership with The Garda Band, a major concert is scheduled by Limerick Lions Club for the South Court Hotel on Thursday October 29, 8pm. Look forward to guest singers Mairead Buicke (soprano) and Owen Gilhooly as well as The Aoide Choir trained by the Lisnagry based tenor. All proceeds will go to local charities.

This is one of a series of celebratory, community minded events organised by Lions for their 50th anniversary year in Limerick.

Gilhooly tips a programme of music for the choirย  that is taken from film musicals: โ€˜Moon Riverโ€™ from Breakfast at Tiffanyโ€™s; โ€˜Shenandoahโ€™; โ€˜Youโ€™ll Never walk Aloneโ€™ from Carousel; โ€˜Climb every Mountainโ€™, The Sound of Music; โ€˜Somewhere over the Rainbowโ€™ from The Wizard of Oz and โ€˜Do you hear the People Sing?โ€™ from Les Miserables.
