Renewed appeal for missing teen as emergency services respond to calls

GARDAI in Limerick have renewed their appeal to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of a teenager who went missing in Limerick over two weeks ago and for the third time this year.

15-year-old Adam Dunne was last seen at 7pm on Monday, October 5 in Limerick city.

Adam is described as being 5’ 9’’ tall, slim build with light brown hair and blue/green eyes. When last seen he was wearing a grey tracksuit bottoms, a grey hoodie top, a navy t-shirt with a grey collar and black runners.

Sightings of Adam have been reported on the Coolock area of Dublin but they have yet to be confirmed.

Garda are very concerned for his wellbeing and are appealing for anyone who may have seen Adam or who can assist in locating him is asked to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station at 061 214340, The Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Meantime, members of the emergency services have responded to a a call at Thomond Bridge in the early hours of this Monday morning after a passerby believed they saw who he believed was in distress at the bridge.

Three units of the Limerick Fire and Rescue Service responded to the call and were on scene within minutes to assist however following a search of the area all responders including the HSE Ambulance service, Gardai and LMSR were stood down in what is now suspected to have been a false alarm albeit with good intent.
