CASTLECONNELL Boat Club’s 5th Annual Head of the River takes place this Saturday, October 31. The event will be held on the 3.2 km course along the river Shannon between Castleconnell and O’Briensbridge.

UL Rowing Club is sending a number strong senior and novice teams to this year’s event. Off the back of the very successful summer training camp it will also have a number of master crews. ULRC are looking forward to the much anticipated return to racing of ULRC alumni John Mehan and with over 40 members competing the club are sure to have a very successful day.
