UNIVERSITY of Limerick Orchestra presents their annual Christmas Concert at the concert hall this Friday 4 at 8pm, under the baton of conductor Liam Daly.

โ€œThe programme for the evening has a distinctively Russian flavour,โ€ writes Valerie Gunning, their PRO. โ€œThe concert will open with Tchaikovksyโ€™s Symphony No.1 in G minor, โ€˜Winter Dreamsโ€™, followed by the dazzling gypsy dance music of โ€˜Symphonic Dances from Fiddler on the Roofโ€™.

“The evening is sure to be fun for all the family with a selection of fun festive favourites, with a twist, to keep all ages entertainedโ€.

As guests to the stage on campus, UL Orchestra welcomes Seoda Chamber Choir and Cantette Childrenโ€™s Choir, with their choral conductor Mรกire Keary-Scanlon presenting a complementary selection of sung music.
