ENCOURAGING words to poets and would-be poets out there from Limerick Writers Centre. April is Poetry Month here, which is organised by the Limerick Writers’ Centre and Quay Books. They have this to say: “We would like to give as many people as possible the opportunity to take part, no matter where they live in the world.

“This year we are Inaugurating a Poetry Trail as part of the celebrations, so we are looking for you to send us an original poem and we will choose 30, one for each day of April and display them in premises around Limerick City.

“The poem can have already been published or why not write something new? Ideally poems should be about poetry itself or about the month of April”.

At 40 lines maximum, you can submit yours to limerickwriterscentre@gmail.com
